Is internet really an outlet for us to express our feelings?

With all these new networking sites, we should have even more opportunities to exercise our freedom of speech. But is it really true?

Let's take FaceBook for example.

How many times have you 'Ignored' or limit your profile to certain people, like say; your colleagues, boss, classmates or family?

Maybe not profile but more of posts and photos?

I know I did.

This subject has been nagging me for quite some time and yesterday, I felt like blogging again 'cos of this.

I guess I should clarify, I'm a supporter of these networking sites. I used to use Twitter but currently I've stopped and is mainly on FaceBook(duh), Tumblr and, of course, Blogger. The main reason why I stopped using Twitter was that I did not want people to know every little action I did or where to find me. I used to be a fervent updater of statuses on FaceBook along with Twitter but over the past year, I've gradually stopped. (Tadaa! That explains the lack of updates about me! Mysteryyyy~~~)

So, what sparked off this post?

Well, I had a rather heated debate recently and seeing how bad my temper still is, I needed a place to vent and after going through the list of places I could, I realise, DANG IT! I can't post it on FaceBook or the person I'm 'bitching' about will see it and it's gonna be awkward whenever we see each other, much less work together. Even if I use 'secret coding' for my posts, people might put 2 and 2 together and spread it to them and that gets EVEN more awkward.

I used to have the notion that as long as you're right, you are free to say whatever you want. Express your feelings! Ignore the rest!

Maybe I'm not all that experienced in life, but after peeping into the working world and all, I realise that that is not a way for survival. Sometimes, you gotta keep peace for the sake of family, friends and yourself. It never hurts to have more bridges. 'Destroying' relationships might be harmful, you never know when you might meet that person's help.

Superficial, materialistic but isn't that true? Isn't that what we do best? Otherwise, why would we put on countless masks when interacting with others.

Alright, seems like I've digressed a little. Back to FaceBook.

So if we do not wish for certain people to see our posts, it would seem simple to just delete them. Save us all the trouble! But nowadays, the 'Friend' status on FaceBook seems to be akin to a friend status in real life. Deleting them off on FaceBook would be indirectly saying, "I do not wish to have you as my friend, not just in FaceBook but in my life too." Andddddd, that will just cause awkwardness and resentment.

Especially for the workplace! What do you do when your colleagues or even worse, your supervisors, add you on FaceBook or started following you on Twitter? Accept their friend request(Hey, they want to be friends with you!) or ignore them? Sometimes, I'm hesitant to accept colleagues on FaceBook as I do not want them to know what I do on my own free time. And I certainly do not really want to know whether my boss enjoys his date at the beach or so. Seems kinda of disturbing. I mean.

But if your boss looks anything like this, then it's a different story!

And if you are upset at some stuff at work, you can't really rant about it on your posts. Can you imagine your boss 'Liking' your post about how horrible your colleague is? -AWKWARD-

Also! Whatever you post online, be it blogposts, twitter updates or FaceBook posts, you might forget about what the content is after a few months, but the internet NEVER forgets! People can always backtrack to your history, especially with the new FaceBook Timeline. =.=

There, I've given most of the bad points about the lack of freedom of speech online. Of course there are good things about networking sites. I've killed off countless of hours laughing on Tumblr, reading blogs and writing personal blog entries. All I'm saying is that, before we can churn out a ranting post, think. Think about the consquences that will befall upon you or others. Your posts normally reflect who you are or more likely, people's perceptions of you as a person. If you tend to have lots of discriminating posts, well, what do you think that says about you? As your internet networking grows, your freedom of speech will start of shrink.

Maybe this post is irrelevant to you because you are all that open and stuff, but well, this post is relevant to me and how I see stuff now! So if you disagree, so be it. I'm not forcing my ideas on you!

Sometimes I feel like I'm falling deep down a dark tunnel..

Then, just when I thought life couldn't get any worse, I had to take a step and plummet further down..

I know life is full of ups and downs, and when your life has reach a trough, there is no other way for it to go besides upwards.

But what if it just stops there? Like, just stops and stays there? Would you require someone to pull you up?

I guess this is why God made us in a pair. For us to lend each other a helping hand. To pull each other up when we know the person can do so much more than what he/she sees in his/her life.

I longed to reach for those hands to pull me up. They used to be so far away but now, I can't see them anymore. Have I fallen in so deeply that I can't see any light?

I feel like I'm surrounded by a pit of darkness. Maybe it's for the better that I can't grasp any hands, or they might join me in this darkness. Pulled down by me.

It has been a helluva week.

Quarrels, accidents, deaths. It feels like there are only bad news going around now. I guess I should consider myself fortunate as none of these actually happened to me but then, one can't take mirth in it when your close friends are the ones involved in it.

Death of a loss one. I've been through twice last year when both of my grandmothers passed away. Though we never had the relationship that is often shown in books and envied by many, but I did miss her a lot when she left. Attending a funeral tonight, though I may not know him personally but I do know his family and they are hurting a lot. A sudden death is normally the hardest to accept. No one expected it. Especially not on his birthday. What was supposed to be a night of celebration turned out to be one full of grieving and despair.

Accidents.
I'm a firm believer that nothing happens without a reason. Nothing is just pure coincidence. Fate and destiny are things we can't change in our life. Brings about my life motto:

What is yours is yours. What's not yours, no matter how hard you try, it will never be.

But then, I'm not saying we should just do things recklessly and get ourselves killed out there. Still, we gotta try to protect and prevent unwanted things from happening. Thus I implore each and everyone of us to cherish our own lives and take good care of it. We only have one life. One life to live to the fullest. Would you be satisfied if you die within the next minute? I know I won't be. This thought came about from hearing the death of the person above along with a friend's motorbike accident. Gave me quite a scare and I really hope he recuperates fine. Gonna shake some sense into him when I see him the next time. Stupid chicken!

Quarrels are part and parcel of our lives 'cos there are no two identical persons in the world. So there definitely will be differences in views. The differences in us are not what hinders us apart from others but allow us to learn more about the world through them. There is only so much we can see. But by seeing things from another perspective will open our eyes to countless things.

What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

We all have different priorities in life, thus we see different things. In the end, it's about compromising and learning with each other. We can never finish learning about a person because we are unfathomable creatures.

Of course, not all news are unhappy news. In the midst of these gloomy days, there are a few happy celebrations that passed and others that are coming!

For example, we celebrated Sarah's 21st yesterday at her house with a really INTERESTING theme. Did not take much photos but will blog about it later on. I'm currently still waiting for photos from my 21st! There's also the final movie of Harry Potter, coming out this Thursday which I'm gonna watch in 3D with Leen! Like finally! Been a long time since I've met up with her! I've heard awesome reviews regarding the film since the premiere which took place last week. Can't wait for it!

Well, yes. I'm trying to end off on a happier note. Will be back to blog again soon and hopefully it will start and end on happy events!

Adulthood..

That is a way foreign term to me.

Whenever I think of adulthood or adults in a manner, I picture old men and women in their 30s, 40s, 50s.. oh ya, 50s would be classified under ancient I guess. I guess when I welcome my 20th birthday last year, my time as a willful teenager would soon be gone. Well, technically I'm still considered a youth as the age limit for that is till 35 years old. Hah!

This year was unlike the past few years where I will emo and do up a reflection post just before my birthday. I didn't forget about it. Was planning to do it all along but there were just so many things to settle on the eve of transcension. Kinda of glad of it. It's tiring to just think through your life and grimace at all those silly and idiotic things you did in your life. Of course, not all that I did were bad, there were moments where I wished I had videotaped them down just to keep them replaying in my mind. Moments where I felt so happy, feelings that were expressed and relationships that I have lost and found. Through the course of life, there were many choices of paths given to me at different points of time in my life. I could have taken any of them, but the ones I chose were the ones that led me to where I am and who I am now. I'm not proud of all that I've done. I'm human and I make mistakes though it is not an excuse for me to continue making them. But since this is life and it goes on, no point for me to harp and think 'What if I chose that other path?'. There's absolutely no point in that because in the end, you'll never know. Simply because you can't turn back and undo the things you've done. This is reality, not some fantasy where you have a time-turner like Hermione Granger and use it to go back in time.

The only thing I can do after choosing my path is to persevere in it. Be it an easy path or one fraught with difficulties, I chose it. I gotta go on with it. Saying it sounds way easier than executing it out in real life. There are times where I just feel like giving up. When I feel that the end or what I'm pursuing are not worth overcoming the obstacles coming my way. Though I love to say that there is always someone who urges me not to give up and pulled me through all those times, I can't. I mean, I know that God is always there for me, but there are also times where I know he let it happened to me, so as to make me stronger through the tribulations he gave.

God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability - 1 Corinthians 10:13

I recently mentioned this verse to Jovan but it just seems hard to continue believing in it at times. There are indeed times where I gave up. Not proud of it but since it's done, learn the lesson and move on. Of course there are people in my life who did pull me up and straighten me. To them, I'm utterly grateful. Sometimes, they might not know the effect of their actions in my life, my choices but I know and for that, gratitude is one of the things I can give them.

As this blog is so aptly named, The Ups & Downs of jO. There are always moments that made us cherish life and times where we just want to give up. I do hope that there is more of the former for all of us but who am I kidding? Hahaha! Not being cynical but it's life.

Even if you get a type of chocolate that you really dislike, it won't deter you from trying again. Unless you hate chocolates. Well, I know I don't.

Every year, every month , every week, every day causes a turn in my life. Sometimes the turns are bigger, sometimes they seem trivial. Turns that are bigger normally have to do with relationships while turns that seem trivial might be anything! A new acquaintance you meet today might turn out to be a very important person to you in the future. You never know. Life is full of surprises. Some people might hate surprises as they do not know what to expect while others relish it. I'm of the latter. Be it good or bad surprises, it's definitely a change to my life. Well, I'm a person who can't stand a mundane lifestyle so it might be refreshing for me. =D

This part is what I've been contemplating about.. a lot. The past year has been one that sent me crashing. I took a path, turning away from some people. Certain choices were made and consequences were what I had to face. In the end, it was my choice. My 20th year wasn't a pretty one. Truthfully speaking, starting out as a freshman in SMU was one of my struggles. I knew no one and I had no one. People seemed different there and unknowingly, I pushed people with my 'aura' I guess. With my way of dressing, thinking and actions, I felt like a misfit. Thank goodness, I still managed to meet some really awesome people and made some friends.But I took a wrong step. And things collapsed. Not the way I want things to turn out but can't say I didn't expect it. Though in my heart, I wished it was not this way. But what's done is done, no matter how it is, I can't forget my memories and I don't wish to as they are what formed the person I am today. As I always seem to have a nostalgic streak in me, there are definitely times where I would mull over my life, with a smile on my face.

Last Sunday, I bade farewell to my 20th self and welcomed 21st and adulthood with open arms. As much as I wished to say I've matured overnight on my birthday, we all know it's bullshit. Hahaha! Though acknowledging it is the first step to it. I do hope that my life as a 21st year old will be one full of bitter chocolates for me. (Bitter is the opposite for me. I adore bitter chocolate. So it means I want sweetness for my life ok?) One where I will discover more about myself again. I find that I'm losing myself in the past year. Somehow, I got reminded by old friends in regards to that. Gotta find the crazy, fiery & blunt person that has hidden in me for some time. The person that people used to look up too and had crazy fun. Though I guess I have to tone down on the craziness. Hahaha! I know this post seems emo but it's just an annual post. Once a year~ =D

Year 20 might seem like a dreadful year for me and making me seem contemptuous of life but it isn't so. There were definitely high moments last year and it is one that I've learned several valuable lessons of. One of which is to give all my friends a chance no matter how bad things seem. Note: Friends, not just anyone. I mean if I consider you as my friend, I'll definitely do this. Otherwise, there will always be this nagging thought deep down in my mind. Friends listen and don't judge, no matter what happened. Even if they judge, at least they gave it a chance. I've learned how important that is for me thus I'm hoping to be there for my own friends if they need me.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you

With an ending note, I'm thoroughly grateful for all the friends I have. Some that were reminded to me through my past year and some that I've just known.

So this is the end of jO's reflection of her year 20. Emo and slightly longer than usual but then again, writing and blogging is a way for me to express. I promise happier posts will be out soon. Especially posts about my 21st celebration! =D

Awesome right?

It was soooo freaking cute that I just had to buy it then. Was contemplating whether or not to buy and if it's an impulse buy. Well, after thinking through, I decided to just get it. I've wanted a holga/lomo camera for quite some time and since this fits what I'm looking for and it happens to be uber cute, why not?

Shipped it in from Korea and it arrived within a week! Had loads of fun using it. Finished 1 roll of film but have yet to wash/processed it. Can't wait to see how the pictures will turn out! Gonna buy more films!

I'm not a fan of K-drama or K-pop but this is one awesome show! Unlike most comedy dramas where the beginning is comical and full of laughter while the ending is just pure bawling, 'You're Beautiful' managed to keep a steady banter throughout the whole show. Gonna pass the series to Denise soon after she finishes Buzzer Beat! XD

All I Want...

All I want for ~~Christmas is my two front teeth~~ my birthday is....

I really have no idea.

Yes, truly.

Normally I would be looking forward to my gifts. However this year, I can't seem to think of anything I really want. No matter how hard I think, nothing seems to come to mind.

Many have been asking me what would I like to get and the 1st time I was faced with that question, I froze. I really had no idea what I would like this year.

What's different this year is that I'm able to celebrate my birthday with most of my friends. Friends from different cliques who all gave me special and unique memories. Memories that I will forever cherish. Knowing that they are able to make it for this special day makes me really happy. I'm glad that they are taking time to come down and it will also be a time where we can catch up with each other too. Looking so damn forward to that day! XDD

As said in previous posts, been doing up the preparations for my celebration and glad to say it's almost done.

Anyway, thinking through, I kinda of know what I really want but I guess I'll get it on my own with any spare money from my salary. Yeaps, I have already decided how I'm gonna spend my salary. Not shopping, but on activities that I've wanted to try! Planning to go for diving and horseback riding this coming semester and I have kaki to go along! Wheee! Finally going to go sign up for them this year.

Oh yea, back to the topic.

I'm hoping to change my camera. Had this old camera for around 4 years? I think. Bought it from my Dad when he got his new camera so I guess it's almost time for me to change a new one. Been grumbling about my sucky camera for a year but never had the cash to change it. Maybe my salary would allow me to finally get it done. XD Hopefully a Lumix. Saw Sean's Lumix last year when we were on our Vietnam trip and it was really nice. Dang! Am so jealous. Hahaha!

Though I guess if I can't get the camera, I'll settle for my charm bracelet. DIY! Planning to go to Arab street and buy the different charms from there! Got my eyes on a few for quite some time so I shall go down 1 day to get it done. That's if if I'm not lazy. =p

Anyway, that's about all I guess. Oh, left out my Mom. Though she gets on my nerves ~~most of the times~~ but she's always making me laugh. Not just at her silly-ness and actions, but also how I'm always on her mind. She went to KL for a short trip recently and while going on a mad shopping spree, she spotted some kind of eyelash treatment that supposedly makes your eyelash grow much longer. So she called back immediately asking if I want and that it's really nice. For a woman who had little interest in makeup, ok, practically no makeup at all, it's warming to see her keeping a look out for things that I like.

In the end, she said she'll buy it as a present to me and when I asked her are there instructions, she said that she's unsure but to make sure I know how to use it, she'll ask the sales lady for a video demonstration. Upon hearing that, I burst into laughter thinking of the predicament that sales lady must be in. Hahahahaha!

Okay, guess that's about all and once again I'm blogging live in my office, thus no pictures 'cept for the ones I took from Google!

Seriously, all of Hazuki's scenes are full of blush moments and it's making me fangirl~ I had to keep in mind where I am when I'm playing. Wouldn't want people to think I'm crazy or so.. especially since I often play on the MRT.

There are many more guys in the game which I've yet to explore or fall in love with them. Update more next time!

Recently, I've been catching up on my manga and Gakuen Alice never fails to make me tear.

It's the last arc now and every chapter I read, I'll just cry. Sobs. But it's good. Can't wait to know the ending. Endings are always bittersweet, don't you think. You can't wait to know how it ends, but when it ends, you wish it hadn't. That's how I've always felt. Especially when Ouran ended~

OH OH OH! Speaking of Ouran, I totally can't wait for this July!!!!

Guess what? Ouran is finally gonna be a live action series!

WHEEEE! I'm going to glue myself to subbing sites and wait for the latest release. Finally, after 3 years, the live action is coming out! Seems like there is a change of cast. Horikita Maki is not Haruhi. Damn~ Was looking forward to her playing. But oh wells~ I hope the drama will do justic to the anime. XDD

Oh, just remembered another awesome piece of news! Harry Potter 7 Part 2 is coming out in JULY! July is gonna be an awesome month! I managed to catch the trailer on the big screen when I was watching Kung Fu Panda 2 with Eugene, Hui Ying & Jon. I was literally fangirling then~ Can't wait to see it! In the trailer, there was a glimpse of Snape's past. I can tell I'm gonna tear at that part. Shan't say anything else in case there are people who have yet to read the book!

Been trying to settle the stuff for my 21st Birthday Celebration. Ahhh!~ I think I'm seriously stumped. I have no idea what type of cake to order and where to order it from. Any suggestions? Should I get a normal cake with quirky designs or should I get a 2-tier? And also catering! I've not checked out the menus that I have in my hand. I don't even have to start ranting on how I've yet to think of the decorations.

And this is where something amusing occurred.

Some tourists with scarily mega DSLR came to the area and as I felt that tingly feeling that someone was staring, I opened one eye to find those DSLRs pointing right in my direction~ Hahahaha! Oh wells, they were pretty nice and came over to show me the shots they took of me. Found out they were from Romania after chatting and discussing the tourist traps in Singapore. Pretty cool to hear about Romania from them and it sounds like a place I would love to visit in the future~ ^___^

After stoning on the rock for quite some time, Leen and Kuromi came and invaded it for their shoot too and pried me out of my comfy throne~ Went to sink my feet in the cooling water where we did some crazy shots too~

Went off to meet Jon who finished his archery training~ On a side note, I'm joining the Archery Club in SMU~ Yes, Little Miss Lazy has finally decided to actually join a club~ Hahahaha! I wonder how will archery and I get along. =p Jon is really excited about me joining though. Heex~

UNLUCKY!

Yesterday was a super duper unlucky day for me. D=

First of all, one of my favourite pair of shoes decided to retire when I was out with Jon and thus gave me an excuse to buy a pair of new shoes. But dang! I loved that pair loads! Joy and I bought the same design and while mine is currently at some garbage dump, the other pair is enjoying life in Brisbane with Jean.

But nonetheless, as the mandarin phrase goes: 旧的不去, 新的不来. Woah! Profound huh? Don't look down on my Mandarin kay~ =p

Ookay, who am I kidding. I suck at it. But basically what the phrase above meant was that if the old (stuff) don't go, the new (stuff) won't come. Direct and kinda of literal translation?

Am loving the new pair of wedges I bought from FEP! More pics of it next time!

And if you think that was not considered unlucky, try this.

I lost my wallet on the bus soon after that. Like whuuttt!!!

Was pretty upset but knowing that no amount of upset or sadness can bring back my wallet, I went on with the original plans of our date~

But still, the thought of all the hassle I have to go through to replace my cards and the $ spent. Ahhhh! But I'm glad that there's not much cash in it so 'booya!' to whoever picked it up and not return it.

Still kinda sad 'cos there were many things inside that can't be replaced, like the photos I have inside. My neoprints with Kim and Leen! Stupid stupid stupid!

But oh well, on the bright side, I get to have a nicer and new IC? Though it cost damnnn ex! $100!

Poor wallet! I'm gonna miss you. The times we had were short but sweet.

It's an unfortunate incident but I still hold on closely to my motto in life:
What's yours is yours. What's not yours, no matter how hard you try, it will never be yours.

So I guess losing my wallet, there must be some kind of meaning to it. And I believe God has a reason for it. Maybe it's to teach me to not be as careless as before. =3

Moving on to a happier topic - Valentine's Day is here!

Happy Valentine's Day is a day for everyone regardless whether you have a partner or not cos V-Day for me is not just a day for couples but also for friends.

So, what are your plans for this special day?

For me, I can't celebrate much as it's a school day. D= Got classes till 6.45pm. Oh wells~

Hue Dreamers' Semi Food Hunt!

Went out on a semi food hunt to quench our thirst for local delicacies after spending almost 3 weeks in Vietnam, especially for Julia. Hahaha! It was an awesome ~~ketchup~~ catch-up session with the members and lament how much we miss Vietnam. =P

Before the food hunt, a few of us had lunch at Chef Daniel's Kitchen before meeting the rest. 1st time there and was pretty impressed with the food~ XDD

Instead of going caroling like we did every year, my church decided to have a Christmas Night on the actual day instead~ Here's us rushing the preparation for the event~

Greetings earthlings!

~~I've just escaped from the mothership and am back to report my safety status.~~

Okok, I'm just joking~ It's been more than a month since I've last blogged and I do apologise for the lack of updates! I did arrive safely back from Vietnam, no worries about that, but there were just piles of work and shit for me to settle resulting in the 'dustiness' of this bloggie!

Many things happened and after much contemplation, I've decided to just move on. Sometimes, no matter what you say, what you do or what you want doesn't matter, So why bother?
Maybe it's harsh, but I guess, it's just me. Maybe it's all a facade, maybe it's not. I don't know. Sometimes, I'm lost trying to find myself too. But that's what life is all about, isn't it?

Anyway, the past month has pretty hectic. Meet-ups, school, church and many more~
I had lots of meet-ups to do upon arriving back to civilization from Vietnam. Missed Kim, Leen, Joy & the 'Sisters' so much lar!

Speaking of Vietnam, it was a blast!

I had an awesome time there and it's gonna be one of my deepest etched memories! (inside joke) Tons of photos were taken and I have no idea where to start blogging about, but I'll try. Heex. Hopefully I'll be able to do up a small post regarding it during the CNY week. =)

Lots of random updates regarding this past month that if I were to list them all in this post, it will probably flood my blog. Hahaha! Some notable updates are gonna be like my church's Xmas Nite, meet-up with Kimmy Kim Kim and beach shoot with Leen, Kuromi & Haru.

My 2nd semester @ SMU has started and I feel like I'm getting to be more studious this year. Seriously! Maybe my transition to SMU is finally done~

Let's just say that my trips down to Akibanana Cafe did not end happily but I totally enjoyed my visits to Ikebanana Cafe.

Fook Yu & I decided to head down there again as the theme this time round was Vocaloid & it seemed interesting!

True to it, we found that the butlers had actually cross-played a few Vocaloid characters like Miku, Luka & Rin!

Some of them are really good with their cross-play! Hahahaha! There's also 2 new butlers that I did not see at the previous event, Yukio-chan & Kuro-chan!

Yes, I shall use 'chan' seeing as they were cross-playing that day!

Kaoru-chan, Ren-chan & Shiro-chan were cross-playing Rin, Luka & Miku respectively and boy! I nearly mistook Ren-chan as a girl! Hahahahaha!

Anime Festival Asia X!

Finally blogging on AFA X!

In one of the previous posts, I mentioned that I went to Moe Moe Kyun Maid Cafe with Fook Yu, Trix & Merlion. Now I shall blog a little more about the other stuff that were at AFA X!

Due to my camera being so sucky, most of the photos were from my iPhone, some Day 1 photos were from Trix while other Day 2 photos were from my dang camera.

Fook Yu came over to my house before heading down to AFA together.

When we reached there, we got a shock! Lonnnnnnng queues for the tickets! Should totally have pre-ordered them. And to think I went there so early just to get my hands on the Hakuouki merchandise that KKNM was bringing in. T.T

Knowing all hope was gone for my Hakuouki merchandise(the queue was freaking long! At least 2 hours!!), we went to MMK Cafe. As it was already mentioned in the previous post, I shall just post more of our camwhore pics up! =p

3 words sum it up: SERVICE WAS BAD!

The supervisor was a bad example towards the other employees. Sheesh! Plus it totally 'helped' that the portions was puny compared to Popeyes & KFC for almost the same price.

Yesh! I'm taking a break from studying & fangirling!

Managed to get my hands on another awesome anime recently.

Hakuouki is still what gets me fangirling the most but the 2nd season is like killing me slowly. Not going to post spoilers here so if you want, go watch it! I just hope the ending won't be sucky. It feels like a torture whenever a new episode is out. I'm torn between my curiosity & my fear~ Should I watch or not? =3=

Heyo!

This post is gonna be all about meido & shitsuji!

What are they & why am I dedicating this post to them?

Because! Somehow for the past 1 month, I realised I've been to like 4 Maid/Butler Cafes.

4! I tell you. Even I'm shocked at the number.

Gonna post & list down the cafes I went and my experience too~

1st Cafe I went, I think it was Akibanana Cafe which is located at Tanjong Pagar. Met up with Fook Yu & Trix before that. Having nothing on our hand at that time, we decided to drop by Akibanana Cafe for a looksee. It was a weekend when we went but the place was empty. No pics to show for it as photos are all with Trix but you can check out her post on it~ XD

My impression of it was actually quite bad as the service wasn't really there. But I guess its 'cos of the lack of manpower or maybe the maids there that day were still kinda of new. Or maybe we just look too intimidating? Hahahaha! I ordered Omu-rice which was seemed nice but was super disappointed with the drawing they gave me.

Sad right??!! Oh wells, wasn't really into the food though my drink was pretty nice. Gummi Soda. But the time there was still full of laughter due to the nonsense that we three came up with.

Nothing much to say about it just that I was pretty unhappy after the trip down.

The next cafe I went was Haru Cafe during their 5th Anniversary Party!

Angmoh butlers! Always had a thing for angmohs since I was young. Kim should know it really well! XDD

So, anyway, Leen & I decided to drop down for the event before going for the Cafe.
Upon reaching the event, we saw the butlers on stage! *Nice Timing*

When they announced their age, everyone's reaction was: Are You Kidding?!

They're all super young la! 15 to 16 years old. I feel soooo old.

As we still had some time, walked around & camwhore too~

Overall for the food, it was really nice and for me, it was pretty filling thanks to the awesome chocolate! XDD

After that, Anthony came over & asked if we would like to play any games which led to a challenge of Uno Stacko between Rory & Us!

Tom came over later to help him out but in the end, we won!

Muahahahaha! Uno Stacko was one of my favourite childhood games kay~

It was pretty fun & the butlers there are certainly of a standard. Can tell that they've put in effort in training~ Its really fun being with them. Felt that the ticket prices were quite worth it. The whole experience definitely put a smile on my face as throughout the time we were there, they were really attentive to us and for a moment, I felt so taitai-ish. Hahahaha!

The next cafe I went was the Moe Moe Kyun Maid Cafe @ AFAX.

Wasn't planning to go but since Trix asked, we went for it. XD

We went there on the 1st day around noon time and the queue wasn't that long, thus we managed to get in pretty fast. You can totally see the difference in the genders between the butler cafe & the maid cafe. Hahahaha! We were like the few female customers in the MMK Cafe.

All of us ordered the Omu-Rice Set in the end which was recommended by them.

All of us ordered tea and we all got different coloured teas due to the different 'milk-and-sugar' requests. XD

Whilst waiting for our food, the Karaoke booth was sending us free music which caused some trauma to us. LOL! Anyway, gotta say we didn't wait long for our food and this time round, I was super happy with the drawings on my Omu-Rice!

Me didn't like the peas & corns inside the fried rice so I took them out and guess where did I put them?

Anyway, service there was pretty good and there was the feeling of an authentic japanese meido cafe. I'm not saying I went into one before but it just gives me the feeling~

Though I gotta say, it was kinda of overpriced but oh wells~ It's a one-in-a-lifetime thingy for me and I guess I won't go back there anymore. And I doubt I have the chance seeing that AFA won't be held in Singapore next year.

And now, for the last cafe that I went which also happened to be the one filled with lots of laughter & fun!

Ikebanana Cafe!

Does the name seem familiar to you?

That's because its the brother cafe of Akibanana Cafe! It's actually the same cafe just that on special events, they will have butlers there to serve the customers too.

I happened to attend the cafe after seeing on Facebook that they were organizing an event consisting of the popular fortune telling group, Not For Sale, that came from Japan. The Not For Sale guys are really awesome and super funny! Shall talk more about them in my next few posts together with my AFA post. This shall just be about the cafe~

So anyway, I went for the event with Fook Yu & Leen and bought the set ticket for both sessions. For session A, we were given 1 'special' drink, 1 Main Course, desert & also 1 cup of tea. The price was definitely worth it and the food is definitely so so so so much nicer than the previous time I went down.

On the day of the event, I was down with a fever in the morning and recovered slightly so we still went on with our plans. Leen came over my house to 'nurse' me before heading down together. Therefore, many apologies as for the following photos, my face probably looked very tired and pale~

When Leen & I get together, we'll just do our favourite activity!

We were the 1st to reach the cafe and upon entering, we were greeted by the 3 butlers: Kaoru, Ren & Shiro!

Was given a special tag for the Session B later on which allows us to claim our package items!

Session B consists of a 5 min consultation with the NFS guys, 2 drinks, manicure, massage and cheki! A really fabulous deal!

And lookie look what we got here:

Just a short intro, that's Hajar, the translator for them along with the Not For Sale guys, Juno, Hoshi & Sugar!

Here's the main course that was served, we got a choice between Pork or Chicken but seeing as chicken was healthier, we all chose that.

Before we went down, Leen & I were looking through the photos on FB and we both liked Megane Ren-kun. And just her luck, both me and Fook Yu got his badge while Leen got Kaoru's. Hahahaha! And seeing how badly she wanted to change, I requested it to Ren on her behalf which led to Kaoru's knowledge of it. Hahahaha! Leen was teased mercilessly by us, (ok, mainly me) but the whole incident was super funny as she was super embarrassed towards Kaoru-kun~ Whahahahaha!

As there were no more badges of Ren-kun in specs, Leen managed to convince Fook Yu to swap with her. Hahahahha!

On a side note: throughout the whole time, I kept thinking that Ren-kun looks slightly similar to Yamapi~ Maybe its the hair. But overall, he just gave me the Yamapi feeling~ hahahaha! Do you feel so too?

Moving on~

We ordered our drinks and me being crazy and daring, I decided to order their unique drink: Guinea Pig

Here's how it look like when it arrived and how Shiro-kun prepared it for me!

Upon seeing the final product, I kinda of lost my will to drink it. Why? Cos it looked like he put 'bahu' (pork floss) in my drink!

After affirming it wasn't 'bahu', I took a sip and that was it.

I pushed the drink over to Leen who after taking a sip, pushed it to Kuromi. (Yeaps! Kuromi joined us later on in Session B)

At the event, we also met up with Sam, Val & Nazhuka! After they had a sip of the drink, the verdict came out: Sam, Val, Leen & I are against the drink while Kuromi, Nazhuka & her friend enjoyed it! LOL! It was dmn funny but had a great time chatting and laughing with them! We were also swapping drinks to compare which ones were better. Hahaha!

After that, I quickly ordered my 2nd drink which was Flower Soda and it's really nice & refreshing!

The manicure was done by the Akibanana maids who are really good & friendly! It felt like a classic manicure instead of express! It was super fun interacting with them too!

The massage was also an incident filled with laughter as Fook Yu was recommending to us which butler we should ask for regarding the massages. So it ended with me asking this question: Do you want it soft or hard?

Leen & I chose Ren-kun to massage us and he's really good! My shoulder area felt super shiok after that 5 min! Hahahaha!

After that, the last thing for us to claim was our Cheki. Most of the other girls took their Cheki with the NFS guys but Leen & I took it with Ren-kun~

Exhausted Fook Yu~

It was really fun chatting with the butlers, maids and the other customers there! Overall, I feel that the price was totally worth it, the food was sooo much better and the whole setting and atmosphere had a really cosy feeling to it too!

Besides that, the butlers and maids have their separate profiles on FB too and it is a good way to interact with them through there! Overall, out of all the cafes I went, this is the cafe that gave me the most enjoyable experience! I guess the previous time I went to the Akibanana Cafe was just bad timing? Am really looking forward to the next visit there and I hope it will be as great or even better than this visit.

That's the end of my post for the different cafes I've visited in the past month~

On a side note, I can't believe I managed to type out this long post when I'm supposed to be mugging and my left hand is currently 'dead' thanks to the 2 vaccines I got in the morning. Can't wait for my finals to be over as my holidays is gonna be so fun-packed!!! Wheee!

And I'm gonna be a redhead starting from tomorrow! That is if nothing goes wrong during my hairdye-ing session. =p

Hahahah! Just kidding. Today is the last day of Term 1 for me and I''ve survived!!

Wheee! End of project choinging days but my mugging days are FAR from over. Got the finals coming up soon. 5 of them too. Boohoo!

Anyway, just to upload some nonsensical photos that I took recently with my crazy bunch of friends. You can call this the sequel to the POC post earlier! =p

Met up with Kim, Anand, Jabez & Choon Hong for a farewell celebration to Anand & Jabez's hair~ Yeaps, they're finally going entering army. Or in present form, they're in army now!

So in the midst of my crazy deadlines & all, I managed to meet them for a couple hours before rushing for my project meetings & stuff!

As mentioned previously, was working my butt off due to the mountain-pile reports that I have to do.

But now, I have a motivation to get through them!

Vietnam Trip + Gossip Girl!!

Been quite addicted to Gossip Girl recently~ Actually, I've read the books before but never had the time to actually watch the series. However fate has it that I should watch a few episodes of Gossip Girl while pampering myself at a nails salon and thus began my addiction to it. =P

Almost finishing Season 2 and am leaving Season 3 to end of exams... that is if I can endure till then. XDD

Still so dmn excited about the Vietnam Trip in Dec!! Am in the Program department and having a great time during all the meetings~

Oh! And I've changed my hair colour. Its not a drastic change from my previous colour which is golden-brown thanks to the bleach.

Liking my current hair colour as it isn't as bright as before but it isn't too dark too. Used Palty's Raspberry Macaron and now there's a slight reddish tint in my hair.

Met XM for the Japanese ninja movie, Kamui.

Well, you can apparently see how happy and hyped I was before entering the cinema. But after like 15-30 mins into the show, I was in torture. It was seriously the worst show I've seen this year, with the exception of 'I love you Beth Cooper'. But Kamui wins hands down in comparison to that!

Urgh! Bad bad bad! Thought it would be similar to 'Shinobi' but the effects and all were sucky!

Moving on~
I have also recently received my iFairy contact lenses and am loving the comfort a lot!~

I guess it was a super auspicious day due to the numerous weddings that were going on that day itself!

For me, it was a really special day.

Nah, not my wedding day but it was Leen's 21st Birthday Celebration!!

Gosh! I am so freaking tired! Only had 4 hours sleep last night or rather this morning as I was choinging my TWC report and watching ancient Channel 8 dramas. LOL!

Falling asleep in class now. Zzz~ iPhone is unable to keep me awake either.
*yawns*

Guess the only thing to do is to keep my fingers and brain busy which lead me to this!

Been pretty busy due to project & report frenzy that all uni students would be experiencing during this period~ But then, no matter how busy you are, you will always still have time for camwhore right? Hohohoho!

Halloween is nearing and what are your plans? Well, I have none in mind as of yet but I do know I'll be spending the Halloween's eve with Leen at Haru's 5th Anniversary Cafe. Am also going to the butler's cafe! Angmoh guys have always been my weakness. Hohoho!

Detouring back, on 8th Oct, I went to Night Safari with my youth group for the Halloween event to support Xin Lei who was in charge of the project. Gotta say that I was a little freaked out before going due to the rumors I heard and also the fact that I was never a fan of horror stuff.

But then, it was pretty fun later on as going in a big nonsensical group apparently dispels all the horrifying stuff. Hahahaha!

I feel so blessed as I'm typing this post.

Why?

Isn't that simple. Count all the blessings that you have received in your life. And I mean ALL.

We've always been taking things for granted and they are the most important things in life.

Reason why I'm talking about this is 'cos I've recently joined a volunteer program to help kids in Vietnam.

It's an OSCP from SMU and I'll be going to Vietnam this December for 19 days!

I'm really excited and am looking forward to see the kids & teenagers there. We'll be teaching them the English language and when I heard that the Kindergarten students had zilch knowledge of English, I suddenly felt so so so dmn blessed! It's not that I'm laughing at them but just think about it. When we were in Kindergarten or even before we went in, we could speak not 1 but 2 languages already! And how did we pick them up? Through our family, friends & of course television.
TV is like such a norm to us now but to them, it's a luxury.
(P.S. I'm referring to the place that we are going, not the whole of Vietnam lah!)

That's why I said I feel so blessed as I type this post out 'cos it proves I can read and type. And you reading this post means that you have a grasp of the English language.

But oh wells, if you still don't feel anything then I can't do anything.

Besides teaching them, we'll be building a kitchen for them too! Thank goodness we're building it and not cooking for them or goodness knows what will happen when they eat my cooking.
The only food I can cook well on a stove is instant noodles? And I cook it really well okay!

Hahaha! Anyway, really looking forward to my trip there as not only will it be a visit to a new country but I so love the people who are going together! My OCSP team is like an awesome bunch of people! Loads of fun with them. Return date was on the 20th Dec but decided to extend it to 23 Dec to do more sightseeing! Saw some touristy photos of Vietnam and the views are WOW!

Can't wait to see them!

I'm getting so hyped up about my trip till I've lost track of my main topic of this post!

People of Crazyland: Journey to World's End!

And in case you're wondering, yes, my title is an imitation of Pirates of Carribean. XDD

So, back to the photos, I have yet to steal those photos from Kimmy & I shall do it as soon as our schools stop squashing us with the ginormous workload.

So, as of now, I shall post up some of my favourites for that day~

But before posting, let me tell you how the POC met on that fateful day.

After a series of discussion, we decided to invade the Island of Meatballs next~

Thus we went, we saw & we conquered!

It was a gory sight so for the sake of minors, no photos shall be posted except for this. >D

So, we decided to travel all the way to World's End to stone the time away~

Maybe I should start with what I was doing before my 1 week of study 'break'. (It was a lie! There was hardly any rest for us!)

Attended SMUBE Bash and had a great time there with my fellow club mates and boy! They were a bunch of crazy, high people! Hahaha!

Manaaged to know more people there and also the seniors! The previous day was the VPH Finals and kudos to all the finalists! They did an awesome job on stage & the respective winners totally deserve their titles!

Love all the videos that they made! Whahahaha!

So enough yakking and I shall post all the photos I took to make this post seem really long~ =p

Welcome me to the iPhone gang!

Seriously, I never did think that I would ever get an iPhone. But then, fate has a interesting way to twist things around and poof! Here I am with my own iPhone. And the amazing thing, Dad volunteered to get it for me. (Well, after some convincing done on my part. =p)

I did not consider getting an iPhone as I was perfectly happy with my iTouch (till I got itchy fingers and upgraded it to OS4 and now it lags like crap. Gotta redo it somehow I guess.) but then, I found that being in SMU = Email Flood!

Really, every morning, I've gotta like clear and check loads and loads of email. It was worse than what I gotta face during my previous job. So with that as an excuse and how much it would help my studies ~~and prevent me from getting lost~~, the 'rents agreed to get it for me. Muahahaha~

And after going down to Starhub, I didn't have to wait long before I got to use my new phone~ Many thanks to the guy who served me and even helped me transfer my contacts over. XDD

Did all the miscellaneous stuff that you will do after getting a new phone. Like screen protector, casing, yada yada yada.

And so, I'm now connected to the internet 24/7. Good? Bad? I have no idea. Just gotta wait and see then.

Here's the case that I got for my iPhone.

I'm trying to look for one that will enable me to hang my charms on the phone but to no avail. If anyone has any lobangs, please let me know ya? XDD And hopefully, the design is nice? XDD

Presenting Mr Heartthrob of the Month~

Who's Mr Heartthrob?

Hurhurhur, I shall reveal that in awhile. Or you can always just skip to the end and take a peek 1st. XD

But the wait is totally worth it!

Did anyone go Seiransai last Sunday?

It was my 3rd year there and each year, I'm there with different people.

1st year: SJCC - AkiMizu & Leen (Oh, the days of naivety and innocence)
2nd year: Danny, Wendy & KK (Which I remember the Merlion game.LOL)
3rd year: My girlf, Leen~ =p

We met Danny, Trix, Wendy & Merlion there too~

And this year, like previous year, I only managed to go to 1 booth.

Leen, Trix, Wendy & I went to the new booth that they had set up on the top floor, the Maze Game~!

It was pretty interesting and you get to choose the gender you wish to be born with and the game slowly takes you through all the stages of life. And I mean ALL~ Up till the age of 50 where after that, you gamble and I think we died due to the thrill of it. =p

Anyway, I had a great time there and I was paired up with Leen where it was hilarious, looking at our choices as we went through it. Heehee.

Oh! And this time round, we managed to eat more of the food they are selling there and spend quite some time at the cafe too. They have quite a few food stalls like Okonimiyaki, SibWay (yes, I believe its a spoof of Subway) and also Orchid Cafe which has the most food~

I think we ordered too much anyway. But the puddings were AWESOME! =p

Hakuouki is an anime that is adapted from a game which is like awesome. For the anime, there are 12 episodes in the 1st season and the 2nd season is coming out this October! Woooots~!
For the game, there are 3 platforms for it, PSP, PS3 & DS. And I was like dying to play it after choinging through the anime in 2 days. =p

And since Hakuouki originated from a game, Saitou's favourite pastime is gaming too~

If you've been taking the MRT in Town or at the Circle line, you can probably hear some cute and interesting song that is played right before the arrival of the train. At the end of the song, it also advises people to start queuing up.

I seriously wonder if we are able to hear it in and start showing more courtesy on public transport.
Maybe we'll be able to see the results after a few weeks?

Anyway, I got really pissed and at the same time, disappointed with some patrons on the bus.

I was juggling 2 big bags of stuff that Fook Yu & Stellar returned to me in one hand and my other was for my school bag. Yea, please imagine how I would look with 3 big bags now.

So as I boarded the bus to my house, I walked to the end of the bus where there were 3 empty seats. Lovely, ain't it?

Bah! I could not access those 3 seats at all! How the heck do you think I'm supposed to squeeze in with 3 big bags? These 3 patrons who were respectively sitting on the aisle seats did not think about shifting their butts in and one even placed her bag on the seat next to her. =.=

Oh, though 1 guy did ask if I wanted to ~~squeeze~~ move into the inner seat. Wow~ Nice gesture but I guess you're kinda of blind.

So seriously, I was trying to juggle my bags and balance myself on the bumpy ride and finally, an aisle seat near me was freed~ And a guy rushed to it and sat down. =.=

By the way, all those patrons that I mentioned above are Singaporeans. Sigh~Was freaking pissed off after I alighted from the bus but at the same time, disappointed at the lack of courtesy that we show at times.

I hope the next song that SMRT plays will be an consideration song! I think we seriously need that!

YAY YAY YAY YAY!!!!

I got into the Quarter-Finals of VPH 2010!~~

I really thought I screwed up my audition and wouldn't get through but thank God, I did!!!! Wheeee~!

Oops, in my excitement, I forgot to explain what's VPH. =p

Well, VPH stands for Voice Personality Hunt and it is a competition to search for the next big voice talent in SMU.

And the winner gets a shot at being an Emcee or DJ!~ Ain't it awesome?? XDD

Trainings for the QF will be tomorrow and the actual QF will be on Thursday itself. Gonna cross my fingers and pray I won't make a fool of myself and that I will get into the semi-finals!

Okay, so that's the piece of great news that I received recently.

Recently, I've been swamped with quite a few things like school & friends, so much that I've been lacking sleep. At least today is a day off for me. Phew~

Speaking of which, I got a driving class later. >.<

And so, school has started

It's currently my 3rd week in school now and I've yet to blog about it~

Life's been mundane nowadays as its just school & studies for me....

Yea right~

If you know me well, you prolly know the words that I typed above are just bullshit. XDD

Basically I did not really enjoy my 1st week in school as most of the people there have already formed their own cliques and with a pinch of discrimination, it wasn't hard to feel lost or left out.

But then again, I'm glad that I still have friends to turn too and actually, I don't mind being alone at times as there are loads of things that keeps me occupied. For example: DRAMASSSSS!

Yeaps! Recently, I've been going on a T-drama marathon. Watching 1 after another~ So far, out of all the dramas I've watched recently, Down with Love is like the best! JERRY YAN is absolute LOOOVEEEE! Watching him in DWL is making me reminiscing about the times I fangirl over him in Meteor Garden~ Ahhhh~

Besides that, I just completed Devil Besides You and am on the next series, Calling for Love.

So back to school, I guess I can be spotted pretty easily in a crowd thanks to my clothes and of course my hair~

My hair is like the brightest in every class I'm in and most probably one of the brightest in the whole school. LOL~

Besides, the clothes I wear are kinda of different from the crowd I guess. Heehee~ But I'm happy 'cos I had people coming up and complimenting on my shoes~ XDD

Anyway, life's getting slightly better as classes continue and I'm getting to know more people. And managed to click with some of them pretty well like Hui Ying~ So dmn happy that she's in 2 of my classes this sem. XDD
Hopefully I will get to make more friends in the few Clubs that I joined. And for the clubs I've signed up for are SMUSA (Student Associaions), Japansese Cultural Club & SMUBE (Broadcasting & Entertainment).

Out of these 3 clubs, the one that I'm super most lagi interested in SMUBE! And which is currently the most nerve-wrecking for me right now as I'll be having my audition later! Yikes!

Hopefully through this audition, I'll be able to become either a DJ or a Host. (Host as in those emcee, not the host clubs kind of host hor~) Well, I really really truly hope that I'll be able to become either one. Fingers are all crossed for the audition later!! >.

Natsu Matsuri 2010!

Did you spot me there too? Received some emails asking if I went to Natsu this year and you have my answer now~

This is my 4th time to Natsu Matsuri and its the 1st time where I actually got to wear my yukata!

Had an awesome time before heading down to Natsu as Leen & Fook Yu came over to prepare together!

And though after arriving there, there wasn't much of a feeling of 'Natsu' for some for us but I still had a great time!

I managed to meet lots of familiar people and go around most of the stalls to get ice-cream, food and games with boyf(XM) & girlf(Leen) and guess what!

I got 2 exact pink Yoyos this year! One each from XM & Leen. Though 1 of them was like 'pulverized' within an hour. LOL!

Supposed to be an happy post about Natsu Matsuri 2010 but then, stuff happened.

Been thinking about life a lot recently and after a week of uni, feels like, sometimes, you just can't help screaming 'LIFE IS FREAKING UNFAIR!'

When I was on the MRT earlier, I actually wrote a note on my iTouch about how I feel about 'Love' and what I think it actually is.

Then, I found out something upon reaching home and it just punched the spirits out of me.

Though it is just a mere 2 days and 1 night, I guess this was the last straw for me. It feels like time is always clashing. Time seems to be slipping out of my hands recently and I'm afraid it that what I cherished will slip away from me too.

Bad things just seem to flowing once it starts. Sometimes, I feel so swamped up, mentally.
Guess it's time to sort out my priorities.

Maybe it's the exhaustion from 1st week of school.

Just wished at times I could do a 'Kage Bunshin' like in Naruto and maybe my time management will be better.

But then again, more people would not want to see more 'me' I guess.

Okie, this is just me talking crap. My brain is a little dead and I need more cheering up so I gotta go into zen mode to clear my head.

On a shopping adventure~

Last week, I finally got the chance to go out with Leen~ We've been so busy with our own work that we didn't really manage to go shopping or makan at all~ T.T

So after our work/PRCP ended, we set a date and went shopping! Decided to go to Bugis 1st as 37489290365 months have flew past since I last went there.

Somehow, we managed to buy some stuff from there and even got ourselves a 'couple tee' and similar glasses. -.-
(I wonder how boyf would react after seeing us in them though he already knows about it. =p)

After our shopping hunt in Bugis, we head off to Sunshine Plaza to eat our mix-mix ice-cream only to find it closed. As in, closed down for good. After ~~sobbing our eyes out and~~ doing some checking, we found that they had moved to POMO which was just opposite~ Heehee! Shall go there and eat it someday! But our trip down wasn't a futile one as we had a great time in KKNM and Ms Leen managed to buy an awesome Kaichou wa Maid-Sama handphone charm ~~which happened to be the last piece~~.

After that, we headed down to Liang Court to meet XM and to intro Leen to the Curry Rice there~ Heex.

And as we were early, we camwhored while waiting for boyf to arrive.

Had deserts after that which consists of lovely cream puff, cheese stick, mocha cake and pudding. No pictures from me but you can see them at Leen's blog.

Had a superb day out and when she stayed over at my house and we spam You're Beautiful which I'm trying to convert her to a fan... which I think I've nearly succeeded.. Yes?

Anyway, we still gotta go out again someday to POMO for ice-cream and also Arab street to find some stuff that we need for Natsu!! (Yes! Natsu! Next Sat!!! Wheeee!) We were also experimenting our yukatas, obis and hairstyles during her sleepover. Heeheehee!

Okie~ Currently waiting for my SDO download to be done so I can play a little. You heard it right, I'm actually taking initiative to game. LOL! I wonder how long can my gaming mode last me. =p

Speaking of Palty, I went to Watsons recently with Leen and saw Palty hairdye!!~ Though there weren't many colours but I still managed to found one that I liked and bought it back to try which is Sakura Brown if I'm not wrong. =p

Love the result of it~ Heehee! Personally find Beauteen & Palty hairdye much more effective and better than Liese Bubble. Though Trix told me that Beauteen and probably Palty is much more damaging. Yikes~ Shall take care of my dear hair better!

I really really like this blouse. (Lace Flutter Blouse) It was like the 1st item that caught my eye la!

It's like so nice to wear with a pair of shorts and seems breezy as well~ Good for me on a slack day @ school.

Pampering Sessions!

I just came back from driving lesson #1 and decided to not procrastinate and upload long awaited photos from Lolly and while I'm at it, I thought I would just blog too~

Had an awesome time this week sleeping in, watching dramas, doing some work here and there and preparing for uni stuff. Miss this kind of feeling so much~

Was pretty upset earlier by a #$%^&*@ damn cab driver and some other things that happened so decided to do this post 1st as it's an happy post! Hahahahaha! Just looking at the pictures are enough to make me laugh.

2 weeks back, I brought the gals to NailsBar for a pampering session as I was flabbergasted to hear that they have not done a manicure before. (Okay, we actually made plans to go before I found out about it. Hahax)

And so we went and tons of laughter ensues~

Pampering Session #2: Fish Spa with Joy!

Decided to go to pamper our feet again since the last time we did it together was last December at P.Ubin and this time, I brought Joy to where I went with Leen previously. I do not know the exact location but it's at Bishan. Currently they have a 'Buy-2-get-1-free' promotion and even if its just the 2 of you, they will still give it to you. They split the promo between the two of us so we got extra 20++ minutes free~! ^___^

A farewell, an new age.

This feels like 3 years ago.

3 years ago, I was in a similar state as I am now - entering another phase of my life. Instead of Nanyang Poly, it's now Singapore Management University. However, 1 thing remained the same. I'm going in alone. Again.

Boy, now that I've typed it out, it really feels that way.

I wanna to study with my clique again! >.< (yea, whining won't get me anywhere) Well, though I'm not looking forward to my life there as of yet, I believe I'll have fun there. What I used to comfort myself 3 years back is that, 'It's a start of a new life!'. Why? Cos no one knows who you were before, it's a new start. I wonder what am I gonna accomplish there and who will I meet. Should I be laid-back or active? What CCA should I join? How should I go along with my studies? How are the people gonna be like? Favoring JC over poly students?

BAH!

All these questions have constantly been floating around in my mind and are giving me an headache and making me 'fraid of starting school. I guess, the important thing is to be true to yourself... right?

Ahhhhh~ I wonder if I should go for the camps. Both are next week. Feeling really lazy to go for it. Wanted to take a break before I start school~ Afterall, I've been working hard recently. =p

OH OH!

But 1 thing I'm looking forward to are gatherings and parties in SMU! I wonder how they will be like. What I've heard from Joy is that there are gatherings to clubs (I had no idea about this?) and also dinners and such. Seems pretty fun and interesting and from what I gather online about SMU Biz School, there is gonna be a gala dinner / Vegas Night on the 3rd week of the new semester. Sounds interesting~

Mah~ This is just a post as I'm still feeling lethargic from work and my reluctance to start work. BUT, I've finally stopped procrastinating and am starting my driving lessons from this Saturday onwards. I will and I must! I've put it off for like 2 months.

Okay, so you know what 'new age' I was referring to ya? For farewell, easy. My colleagues & my working life for now. Gonna be missing them so much!!

Had an awesome buffet lunch with them yesterday as a farewell meal and Japanese buffet lunch just now with my direct colleagues/supervisors. Still thinking if I should go back during the hols to work or venture to other companies. Afterall, I should experience different things when I have the chance to.

Recognized what/who is that?

The mongoose from Nodame Cantabile! Yeaaaa~ Got it from Japan and was waiting for the release of the 2nd movie to take it out of the packaging which was last week! Managed to catch Nodame Cantabile Finale Movie II last Sunday and I was really really happy! All week long I was just looking forward to that!

P.S. Thanks XM for watching it with me despite watching another movie beforehand. Heehee.

Anyway, I kinda of knew the ending of it since I was following both manga and anime before that. Both were awesome~! Everytime I watch the drama or anime, it just brings me back to the world of music. Wish I could play like that but oh well~ Gonna stick with my decision. XD

Anyway, I felt that the 1st movie was really funny and it was just full of LOL moments, the 2nd movie was more on a 'serious' note. The most serious that Nodame can ever be. It seems to be settling down as the series comes to an end and there was a distinct drop in the funny moments. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it and was filled with mixed emotions as it came to an end. I always get that feeling whenever I finished watching a series or reading a book. Its like 'Damn! It has ended. Nothing else to look forward to.' That's how I always feel and I'll just go back to the start again. Whahaha!

Anyway, gonna wait for the release of both movies in DVD and sees if there are any deleted scenes not shown in the theaters~ XDD

Speaking of animes, currently watching Kaichou wa Maid-sama! Feels that its really good and its quite addictive. I choinged all 6 episodes on hand after Leen passed it to me. And before that, I was skeptical of it. Boy, was I wrong~ I can't wait for the new episodes to be out~ Along with Gakuen Alice & Ouran manga!

Seems like Ouran is gonna come to an end. Notes from Lala says that the next chapter of Ouran is the last arc and for the past 2 months, it has been on hiatus. Can't wait, can't wait~!

Need to find new places for manga scanlations as One Manga is gonna close down. =(

Only after relentless recommendations from people about this drama, did Ms stubborn jO went to read about it.

Well, whenever I find a drama/movie/book that I really love, I would just get caught up in it and keep playing/reading it from the start again. Then I will get skeptical of other shows/books of whether will they be as interesting as those I've read/watched.

So now you know what I do after finishing a drama series if its nice. *Show ends -> Restart 1st episode*

And you can be sure I'm sooo gonna do that for 'You're Beautiful!'

Heyo~

My working life is more or less coming to an end and I can't believe that I'm actually saying it: I'm gonna miss there!

In fact, I'm already missing the events and being on-site. And of course my crappy colleagues and all~ Gonna miss you gals loads!!

Time really seems to pass by so fast. 2.5 months has passed since I've joined them and next Friday is gonna be my last day of work. So freaking fast! But oh well, this is not the final farewell. They've ~~conned~~ roped me in to joining their company again whenever I have vacations and even for my Uni internship! Hahahaha! I would so love to go back but I believe I gotta explore other companies and industries while I can. But we'll definitely be still in touch~! Because of our loooooveee for shopping!

Anyway, for those who have seen my tweets 2 nights ago and am wondering what the outburst is about. Well, let's just say its an family issue and something I need to go through. But thanks for the concern and all! Gotta go clear my mind after last night and was feeling really upset and 'cheated' in some way. Feels like those words have been repeated and reused for gazillion years. It just feels like, whenever I'm reaching the finishing line, you just move it further away from me. Its not pushing me to greater heights. That's the wrong way. I understand what it feels like to be pushed to our limits to achieve greater things, but this is not the way. All I can do is to pray, hope for the best and do what I know I can.

Enough of my depressant talk! Just realied I got tons of photos in my camera which have yet been uploaded.

The Big 2!

And it is as what Sherwin said. The big 2~

I can't believe it. I'm turning 20 in another hour or so.

As usual, another year seems to go pass so soon. And they say that once you hit the 2X, you will feel that time seems to zoom by so fast like its on a fire rocket.

Well, ever since last year, I started to feel that way. It feels like my 19th year passed by super duper quickly. But then, it was a year full of changes, challenges, excitement and fun! Heehee! And yea, it was kinda of true about what I thought of my 19th year would be last year this time.

Somehow, I still feel like I'm 18. Well, at least that is what's on my mind everytime someone ask for my age or when filling in application form. It just feel so natural~ Don't ya think so? =p

For the past year, I've learned much more and there were some major changes in my life, be it graduation, friends, family but I'm really thankful for all who were always there for me. XDD

Actually, looking back, I kinda of question myself, how did that 1 year pass by so freaking fast!??

AHHHHH!! I'm getting older. =p

Anyway, I don't really plan to celebrate my birthday this year or at least that's what I told my parents. Somehow, they got it confused that 20th is the year to celebrate instead of 21st. Hahaha!

So, this year, I'm just gonna have a simple birthday dinner with my friends tomorrow night after all the practices. Woots~

And here's a BIG thanks to my youths who celebrated my birthday for me yesterday! Thanks gals + guys! You peeps have always been there for me for like my whole entire life? Can't imagine my life without you all!

A rant of mine.
(Please read till the end. I've edited something there. Kinda of important.) Cheerios

Completely, I tell you.

And so it starts.

I love shopping. There, I spilled the truth.

And thanks to the advancement in information technology now, shopping is not just limited to brick and mortar but also the online world.

Online shopping can be such a breeze to us customers. Clickity click and tadaa~ 'Your order has been sent in.' The owners reply you and done deal right?

But.. what happens if you decided to create some 'magic' for them? Ahhh~ Interesting huh?

I used to think that one request from me as a customer wouldn't do much harm ya? But who knows if there are gazillion customers who think like me? Woohooo~ The owners are gonna dieeee.

Common sense, don't you think? Well, I admit that I only sympathised with them after working in the outside world.

Time is precious in this world. Majority of our life is spend on studying and working. Why do we do all that when we obviously dislike it so? To earn a living, to feed ourselves, our wants, our needs, etc.

So at times, why make so much trouble for each other when all we're doing are exactly the same? Of course I'm not saying you should just take crap from people. Know your rights but do not abuse it.

Example, if you happen to have requested a meeting with someone, but maybe let's just say 15-20 min before the stipulated time, you inform the person you're gonna be late and the reason being is due to self-indulgence.

Helloooo?~~ You freaking think the other person has all the time in the world to wait for you ar? Who wouldn't get irritated? Especially when the person is just an acquaintance and happens to have a history of lateness.

Ok, that's one. Oh, and my bad. Changing the time 20 mins before the meeting isn't last minute at all. I'm just too uptight over it and happened to miss my comfy lunch. And yea, offering my help before that is wrong. And being on time or arriving slightly earlier on time is WRONG!

Freak you!

And if others who have faced the same situation (not the lateness) as you and are happy with no complaints, doesn't that freaking show something about YOU?

Booya! And I believe that this protagonist (not me) in my story has trouble calculating time. Ahhh~ Expected since she doesn't take time seriously. Or else, she just have trouble reading. Tsk tsk. Either way, I kinda of pity her. So please, to make it up to you, take more advantage of my kindness. Please do~

If I'm working, and I know I can handle my time by doing another hobby of mine, why not. I don't see any wrong in it.

And what's wrong with multi-tasking if I am capable. It keeps me active, both physically and mentally. And I need to be kept active or I would just go into a slump.

So in the end, thank you for keeping me 'active' and it has been ages since I felt the urge to rant something out with a story. Since secondary 3 I guess.

I love this rant. It makes me feel so much at ease and yea~ I'm off to a movie date with my boyf now!

EDIT: Okay, so some of yall think that I'm writing this out 'cos of my experiences in co-hosting a blogshop. Well, it's partially true. So I shall continue more here.

I had great experiences with customers online too. Some of them were really enthusiastic which made me really happy when replying to them. Really! You can see my face grinning like mad as I'm replying them. It also cheered me up whenever I see them thanking us and saying they will order more. Somehow, it creates a bond ya? Heehee. So, just to say, not all experiences are bad. In fact, huge majority of them were good and super duper nice and it was great during the meet-up! Hahahaha!

Another thing was that, I chose to take down this post earlier on at 2am. But posting it up again so as to affirm some things to myself and maybe to you peeps out there.

First, I couldn't get to sleep last night as I still felt lots of frustrations in me. Not just because of this but a lot of factors. Been feeling that since yesterday. Pssft. Posting it up not just because it vents out the frustration but because I really like this post of mine. XD

Secondly, I don't wish to run away and repeat what I did in Sec 3 for my post.

Thirdly, the main thing is that, this is just me. This is a blog where I can type out what I feel and what I'm going through. True, at times, what I say may offend some people, but this has always been an outlet for me to vent out and to type what I feel and I hope it will continue to do so. Though I know the readers on my blog are increasing thanks to JFS but still, I don't wish to change my blog totally. I felt restrained after taking down my post yesterday. I thought I wouldn't at first but it proved me wrong.

If people do not wish to see this post (I'm not sure if there are more coming) and stop frequenting here. I'm okay. I'm not planning to be a blogger blogger ya? As in, I blog, yes. But I don't expect myself to be famous or even well-known 'cos of my blog. (But I plan to be famous through other things. =P) I mean, that's the truth.

So, all I mean is that, I gotta do another disclaimer.

My blog is about what I feel, what I think and what my life is. It isn't perfect and might be full of nonsense and crap. And as I'm not planning to be someone known for her blog, hits and all don't really affect me. If you think that I have nuffnang signs on my blog is contradicting, well, if it earns money and doesn't cost me a cent, why not? Of course, it makes me happy and glad to know that people are reading my blog be it out of curiousity or other reasons.

Mud Flood!

It has been raining quite heavily in Orchard / town area recently! Due to my stubborness to not stuff an umbrella in my bag before leaving the house, I had to walk in the rain yesterday morning which caused me a night of endless sneezing. Learning from my lesson, I stuff my Hello Kitty umbrelly into my bag and left. Thank goodness I did. Freaking heavy rain in town area now!! I'm comfy and warm in my office but look at this!

My 1st Concert Ever!

Yeayea! I finally attended my 1st concert ever! And yes, you must be thinking I'm a mountain tortoise huh? Heehee.

Well, most of the concerts held in Singapore are mainly chinese singers/bands which I'm not really a huge fan of so I didn't attend any. Besides, I don't really listen to chinese songs as my chinese is... well, horrible is an understatement I guess. =p

Anyway, last Saturday, I went for a Mayday concert! Courtesy of my dear boyf!

I do listen to Mayday songs, it is one of the few bands I actually listen to. Heehee. So Danny, Trix, XM & I went to the Singapore Indoor Stadium for the concert which was actually some company, BWL, 20th anniversary... and they managed to hire Mayday! Like.. woah!

Before the event~

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves for the 1st and last hour which was the opening act and the 60min Mayday concert~

Well, I would say it was an enriching experience for me though at some point of the event, it did bore all of us.
Some parts of the event made me dislike this sign now:

But the Mayday concert totally woke all of us up! You can totally see the crowd standing and the hype that they brought with them to the event! Woots! Enjoyed myself thoroughly during that!

And since there was a period of boredom, what else to do besides self-entertaining?

My boyf was staring at his other girlf in his phone. Tsk tsk tsk.. Hahahaha!

Overall, my 1st concert experience was great and I understand why Mayday concerts are so woah and the 'heat' and hype they managed to bring. Even I was excited and hyped up, me being a person who knows less than 10 of their songs. =p It was really awesome!! I had lots of fun there with Danny & Trix and it was great being able to attend it with XM~ Heehee!
